Regular exercise helps lose the body weight and keep up the desired weight further. Physical activities can raise the metabolic rate of the skeletal muscles and burn extra calories. Otherwise, the excess calories will be stored as fat in your body.
When you exercise regularly, sensitivity of the insulin receptors in your skeletal muscles will rise gradually and consequently, the activation of more insulin receptors helps skeletal muscles use more glucose as fuel.
If you do regular exercises, your skeletal muscle fibres will grow (hypertrophy) in a gradual manner, therefore, the energy requirement of skeletal muscles will rise. This increased energy demand burns more fat and prevents fat deposition in the body.
For better results, you should combine regular exercises with a balanced healthy diet.
